Is it safe for me to attend a large event at this time?
South Australia has managed the COVID pandemic very well and is currently one of the lowest risk places to be in Australia.
Adelaide Oval has implemented strict COVID-safe policies in line with government advice to ensure the safety of all patrons. This includes reduced sized groups, social distancing and increased hygiene practices in addition to their already strict operational procedures.
Reduced Sized Groups
Our event will be held in the William Magarey Room which has a maximum capacity of 615 guests under the COVID guidelines. Our event will have less than half of this number.
Social Distancing
To ensure adherence to the Government’s COVID-19 health and safety regulations, a one person per two square metre rule has been implemented.
Hygiene Measures
Hand sanitising stations are available at Entry and Exit points as well as stations situated around the stadium. We have increased the cleaning and disinfecting of all surface areas and frequented spaces. Hand washing facilities are also available.
South Australia is largely ‘business as usual’ and is hosting the annual Adelaide Fringe Festival the weekend after our event. The Oval has also hosted the BBL cricket matches with thousands of attendees throughout January without incident.
What if there is an outbreak, will the event still go ahead?
A huge amount of forethought has gone into making our TOP Producer Program 2-Day Workshops as robust as possible. The plans are designed to cope with a shifting COVID situation, so rest assured our events have a very high likelihood of going ahead.
However, in the unlikely event that another outbreak does affect our ability to proceed, your tickets can be transferred to another location, carried forward to next year, or refunded in full.
Will I need to be tested for COVID whilst in South Australia?
NSW, VIC and WA arrivals will all have to undertake mandatory COVID testing on Day 1 (and also days 5 and 12 if still in SA that long).
We understand there are testing facilities set up inside Adelaide airport, but you can access a list of testing centres located closest to our event by clicking here.
COVID testing is not required for anyone travelling from other states or territories.
Will I need to quarantine or self-isolate before or after the event?
It depends where you are travelling from.
If you are travelling from the follwoing locations you will need to self-quarantine until a negative test result is received:
– Greater Melbourne Area
– Greater Sydney, Wollongong or Central Coast
– Peel, Perth and South West WA
There is no requirement to self-quarantine upon entry to SA from any other state or territory or upon returning to your home state (unless you have any symptoms).
Where am I best to monitor the situation or find the latest updates?
The most reliable source of information is the SA governments COVID website, which you can access here: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/restrictions-and-responsibilities/travel-restrictions#sa
You can also refer to your local state government for the latest updates:
